OVARIES. TALK ABOUT THEM.
One step left. One year left. To get a test to clinical trials.
OVARIES. TALK ABOUT THEM.
One step left. One year left. To get a test to clinical trials.
THE MISSION
Ovaries. Talk About Them. is a bold movement designed to get the world’s first DNA based early detection test to clinical trials in the next year. There is no test for ovarian cancer, even though it is the deadliest female cancer. Years of chronic underfunding and a systemic bias in the medical system when it comes to women's health has meant that this disease - that impacts the lives of millions around the world every year - has not gotten the attention it deserves. For far too long women have been dismissed and overlooked and Ovaries. Talk About Them. exists to change that.
Over 310,000 women are diagnosed worldwide each year, with over 75% diagnosed in the late stages when it is often too late. The statistics are getting worse, and we are running out of time. By 2050, the number of women around the world diagnosed with ovarian cancer will rise over 55% to 503,448. The number of women dying from ovarian cancer each year is projected to increase to 350,956 an increase of almost 70% from 2022.
Now is the time to make an early detection test a reality.
Join us, and let’s make history together.
THE DOCUMENTARIES
Ovaries. Talk About Them. is a wake-up call — shining an unflinching light on ovarian cancer, a silent killer too often ignored. This campaign is about more than a disease. It’s about women. It’s about rights. And it’s about a system that has failed both. For too long, women have been dismissed, their symptoms overlooked, and their lives cut short. Through powerful stories from survivors, families, and leading voices Ovaries. Talk About Them. exposes the truth and calls for urgent action. These stories show the scale of the problem and the millions of lives it impacts worldwide. In honour of our annual Ovaries. Talk About Them. campaign, we share the powerful stories of women who shine a light on their experience with ovarian cancer.
“We all have the power to band together and create history for the future of women’s health and stamp out the inequalities that have existed for far too long. One movement really can change the world."
FREEMAN-TOPPER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR
CAMPAIGNING FOR CHANGE
This campaign is deeply personal to Creative Director Camilla Freeman Topper and CEO Marc Freeman who lost their mum to the disease over 30 years ago when they were just 11 and 13 respectively. Their mother, Pamela was just 42 when she passed away, two short years after being diagnosed.
That profound loss devastated their family and fundamentally changed the course of their lives.
In the 30 years since their mother passed away, the dire statistics for ovarian cancer have barely changed. Ovaries. Talk About Them. exists to change that, so that another daughter or son does not have to lose their mother too soon.
In just five years, your generous support has helped us raise an incredible $2.5 million. 100% of proceeds have gone directly to supercharge the work of Professor Caroline Ford, Dr Kristina Warton and the team of scientists and researchers at the UNSW Gynaecological Cancer Research Group.
“I hope that if we have an early detection test, women won’t have to get all the way to where I was. They’ll catch it sooner. They’ll have options.”

Over 75% women are diagnosed in the late stages, when it’s often too late. Tragically, this means too many women don’t survive to advocate for this disease themselves. The #OvariesTalkAboutThem campaign exists to change that. It brings together an army of advocates united by one powerful, history making goal: to raise the funds needed to get the world’s first early detection test for ovarian cancer to clinical trials in the next year. Every single cent goes directly to medical research and to support make this test a reality. This year we are joined by Bianca Balti a model living with stage 3 ovarian cancer.

BUY THE T-SHIRT
This year's Ovaries. Talk About Them. t-shirt artwork was designed in-house by Creative Director Camilla Freeman Topper and CEO Marc Freeman. The 2025 t-shirt design features three powerful statements to bring to life the bold strength and advocacy that underpin the campaign.
"IT ALL BEGINS WITH OVARIES"
Highlights the idea that ovaries are the starting point to life and deserve our full attention.
"HOW MUCH ARE YOUR OVARIES WORTH?"
Challenges the status quo, calling for greater investment in research, awareness, and action.
“There is no you, without me. Kindly, ovaries.”
A powerful reminder that none of us would exist without them —bringing into sharp focus the importance of greater awareness.
MAKE A DONATION
Every single cent we raise goes directly towards medical research including getting the world’s first early detection test to clinical trials in the next year.
