The new collection invites you to observe the beauty in life, embrace change and the journey in transformation. Inspired by the transformative journey of exotic and rare moths that resemble the delicate beauty of a butterfly; the collection encapsulates the essence of evolution and grace, drawing parallels between the natural metamorphosis and evolution of the CAMILLA AND MARC woman.
"Metamorphosis is a representation of a romantic and beautiful journey that traces a woman’s evolution in life. Moths are sensual and mysterious creatures, much like the woman, embarking on a voyage of transformation to become the best version of themselves, and in the process, beauty and intricacies are uncovered."
The colour palette oscillates between deep, mysterious tones of black, chocolate and slate, reminiscent of night visions; and lighter watercolours and luminescent hues of red, gold and canary yellow that represent freedom. Fabrics have been carefully curated to mimic the tactile beauty of wings; with lace, satin and velvet playing a role in creating a sensory experience that mirrors elegance.
With a nod to sensuality, subtle vintage inspired lingerie details are imbued into the collection, revealing bra straps, hooks and elastics to honour the female form. Masculine shapes contrast to bring a state of natural tension, but are balanced with texture and soft forms for overall harmony. A new tailoring silhouette is introduced and re-imagined with relaxed shoulders, boxy forms and shorter jacket and coat lapels allowing a relaxed yet sharp shape.
The collection artfully considers design techniques and craftsmanship. The Alabaster dress has been intricately hand-crocheted and beaded to bring to life the luminescence of exotic moth wings. A delicate sheer gold lace wraps and twists around the body, highlighting and honouring the female form. The Athalia story is hand-designed in-house, with a velvet coating to mirror the fur texture of moth wings. Each piece is meticulously designed to highlight the wearer's individuality and evolution, symbolizing the empowerment that comes from embracing change and one's true self.
